The Certified Rogerian Psychotherapist course is the first of its kind in Singapore and Asia. This is the first premier training available for the community and mental health practitioner to gain person centered client focused psychotherapy skills.
One of the most influential psychotherapeutic themes has been that developed by Carl Rogers under the broad title of Client-Centered psychotherapy. Essentially Rogers advocated a non-directive mode of psychotherapy in which the client is maximally free to express himself and is subject to a minimum of organisation or expert 'treatment' by the therapist.
His work have now extended into the firle dof education where the Rogerian therapeutic model has been adopted as a way of looking a teacher/pupil relationships and freeing them of some of the more deadly formalities of the academic world.
The basis of therapeutic relationships is seen in Carl Rogers’ theory of personality with its stress of self-actualization, development of the self, phenomenological field, validation, and conditions of worth is the basis for the techniques that are taught, practiced and modeled in this course.
These techniques are empathic understanding, unconditional positive regard, and congruence.
These techniques are central to any effective relationship from any theoretical perspective.
The student will become practiced at these and related aspects of person-centered theory.
Includes the fundamental occupational tasks of assessment, case presentation, case collaboration, team membership and client interaction.

The supervised practice experience include 10 hours of direct contact hours and 6 hours of supervision with PSYREC's approved, accredited, certified supervisor.
*Students are expected to secure their own client.
**Supervision are conducted via online contact and reviewing case notes and recorded sessions.
Online and distance learning via our Learning Management System. Supervision will be conducted via Zoom and Skype.
This 80-hour, training program can be completed as quickly as two weeks or six-months according to your pace. It include 64 hours of theory and practice preparatory modules with 16 hours of supervised practice.
