The CBT program begins with grounding in the cognitive behavioral therapy model and accompanying theory. Emphasis is placed on learning to use the cognitive therapy model to specifically treat various issues and clinical disorders. Participants are taught how to apply cognitive therapy techniques in both psychotherapy practice, as well as in other settings.

 

Our certification program is designed and modelled after Dr. Aaron Beck and Drs. Beck contemporary CBT model. All leading clinicians in the field to encourage excellence in CBT. 1. The Course aims to provide students with:

  • An understanding of issues of importance relating to the theory and practice of CBT. These include:

In this final module we will define and identify the professional standards and ethics expected from professional therapists and practitioners.

The supervised practice experience include 10 hours of direct contact hours and 6 hours of supervision with PSYREC's approved, accredited, certified supervisor.

 

*Students are expected to secure their own client.

**Supervision are conducted via online contact and reviewing case notes and recorded sessions.

Online and distance learning via our Learning Management System. Supervision will be conducted via Zoom and Skype.

This 80-hour, training program can be completed as quickly as two weeks or six-months according to your pace. It include 64 hours of theory and practice preparatory modules with 16 hours of supervised practice.
